Client:- Coventry City council
Project:- Commissioned to produce 2 illustrations, An in depth analysis depicting all the different trades that have taken place in Spon Street from 15c to 18c. They were then mounted & placed on permanent display along Spon Street.
These line & wash watercolours formed a montage depicting a visual timeline, from weavers, watchmakers to cycle & motorcycle manufacturers. It is the engineering skills developed during the watchmaking period that later fed into the machine tool & motor industry from 1897 to the 1980s.
